BREAKFAST - Pressure LUNCH - Pressure DINNER - Pressure
“Meee? I don’t work well under pressure."
Once upon a time, that was my go-to line. I said it with so much conviction, almost like it was a core part of my identity.
And honestly? I believed it. I held onto it so tightly that I didn't realize that I was putting a cap on what I could achieve. It was me telling myself, “This is your limit; don’t even bother trying.”
The truth is, we all feel pressure at certain times, whether it’s career goals, family expectations, societal timelines, or self-imposed deadlines.
And you know what’s funny about pressure? It doesn’t wait for an invitation or the right mood. It just shows up, uninvited, and expects you to handle it.
At first, I hated it. It felt like too much, like life was constantly demanding more from me than I could give. But somewhere along the line, I realized something:
Pressure only shows you what you're capable of and what needs to be improved on.
It’s like a mirror, revealing the cracks in your plans, your discipline, your focus, and your strength. And instead of running from it, I started leaning in. Because the truth is, you can’t grow in comfort.
Personally, I haven’t figured it all out. There are still days when I struggle, but I’m learning to stop seeing pressure as the enemy.
Now, when I feel that familiar weight of pressure, I pause and ask myself: This is here to teach me. What am I learning from it today?
To be frank, life will keep serving pressure for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The key is figuring out how to eat without choking.
