I feel indifferent about the new year.
Is the excitement that comes with the new year overrated?
For a lot of us, the new year feels like a fresh start.
A clean slate.
The perfect moment to dream big and do the impossible.
So, we go into it pumped and ready to take on the world.
Is that bad? Not at all.
It’s great to hope for more.
It’s beautiful to look past the ups and downs of the previous year and imagine better days ahead.
But let’s be real, how far does that excitement actually take us?
The buzz to stay consistent at the gym.
The motivation to keep posting content.
The drive to keep applying for those jobs.
It often fizzles out, sometimes even before March.
So, maybe it's worth asking:
When the thrill wears off, what will keep me going?
What do I fall back on to stick to my goals long-term?
That’s how I genuinely feel about the new year.
How about you?
